Nightingale Quarter Progress

Significant progress can be seen across the Nightingale Quarter development

Last month, Wavensmere Homes proudly revealed the restoration of Pepper Pot South and the opening of the show home. This was a fantastic milestone to reach and we thank everyone who was part of it. You can read more about the restoration and interior design here.

During our most recent site visit this week, we looked at what was going on across the rest of the 18.5-acre site. Here is a short outline…

  1. Phase 1 houses are now all now practically complete and are 95% occupied
  2. Phase 2 houses are currently on programme for the first practical completions in August 2021.  Brickwork has been started on the last remaining plots in this phase and 60% of the phase now have roofs on.
  3. Block A (Strutt House) is progressing well and in line with programme.  Groundworks operations continue to progress and are expected to be completed within the next 6 weeks.  We are expecting the steel frame to start to be erected early September 2021.
  4. Block B has now broken ground and we have recently mobilised our piling contractor to start works.

Strutt House apartments have officially launched and ready to move in by November 2022. Read more about Strutt House here.

Nightingale Quarter is one of the UK’s largest regeneration sites, creating nearly 800 new homes to Derby city centre. Other facilities on the site include an indoor and outdoor gym, a cafe, a cycle route, and a children’s play area.
