Creating an open plan kitchen has many perks. From more space to a better flow, it can transform your home for the better.

To achieve open plan, you may need to knock down walls. This can sound scary but the benefits will far outweigh the fear. The main benefit you will gain from an open plan kitchen is space. By knocking through from the existing kitchen and reception room, space almost doubles in size. A larger room gives you the opportunity to accentuate space with a better designed kitchen. Most open plan kitchens allow for an island which can be a breakfast bar amongst extra storage.

It’s miscommunication to this open plan kitchens require large houses. They are in fact ideal for smaller properties to utilise space far better than partitioned rooms.
