Rent in East Midlands

By Emily O'Donoghue

The cost of renting has increased in 75% of regions in the UK. With a 17% increase in rent in East Midlands, from June to July.

Six out of the eight UK regions saw an increase in the cost of renting over the last month – with a particularly strong increase in the East Midlands and the North East.

Derby is one of the largest cities in the East Midlands and home to over 250,000 people in the city centre. And it’s still growing.

The city is extremely well-connected, located on the border of the Midlands and the North of England, Derby has plenty of perks which make it a fantastic place to live.

The city boasts having the highest income per person outside London, which means the quality of life and opportunity for professional development is exceptional. Which is why it’s no surprise that rent in East Midlands is on the increase.

It is an ever-growing city with £4 billion invested in it in the last two years, and a further £2 billion in the pipeline.
