Wavensmere Homes – 2021 Roundup

Reflecting back on 2021

Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone. We hope you all had a well-rested Christmas break and are ready to kick-start a brand new year.

For Wavensmere Homes, 2021 has been a significant year for many reasons.

The Team

The team has expanded with three new starters that include Ross Oates as Project Director, Ben Marsden as Technical Manager and James Muckian as Quantity Surveyor.

Multiple in-house promotions were also established with Ben Clarke promoted to Technical Director and Laura Cartwright to Marketing Manager.

This year, we continue to grow the team and look forward to updating you on new members soon.

New Developments

Following the exciting announcement that Wavensmere Homes has created a joint venture with Galliard Homes and Apsley House Capital, two new developments were revealed.

Located on the former HMS Ganges Naval Training site, Barrelmans Point will create nearly 300 new homes to the stunning Shotley Peninsula. The development will offer two, three, four and five-bed residences across the 60-acre site as well as multiple amenities for our residents to enjoy. Barrelmans Point is a joint-venture between Wavensmere Homes and Galliard Homes. Please read more here.

The second site, Belgrave Village, is located in Birmingham city centre and will create 438 homes in a range of two, three and four bedroom houses and apartments. The development is set across 12-acres and will include courtyard gardens, landscaped public realm and a linear park. Belgrave Village is a joint-venture between Wavensmere Homes, Apsley House Capital and Galliard Homes. Please read more here.

Projects

Fantastic progress to our ongoing Derby city centre development, Nightingale Quarter, was made in 2021 including building milestones and sales.

  • Nightingale Quarter saw unprecedented sales success in 2021 with the sale of 471 properties as well as welcoming 83 new residents to the site.
  • The first apartment block, Strutt House, also met many build milestones which you can read more about here.

  • Work also started on Pepper Pot North over the last few months that include remedial works to the external brickwork and stonework.
  • Earlier in the year, Wavensmere Homes held a networking breakfast for fellow Marketing Derby Bondholder’s which was a great success. Please watch our highlight video below.

We look forward to continuing to update you on this development.
