How To Make Your Garden Nice for Summer

There are endless ways to make your garden nice this year.

Is the warmer weather and brighter mornings making your green fingers twitch? It may feel like a daunting task for many, but there are many easy and cost-effective ways to make your garden nice.

After the year we have all had, being happy in your home in top priority. With hotter days soon approaching we will be spending all our free time in the garden. Restrictions will be eased and we can look forward to hosting BBQ’s once more.

Before we can enjoy the fruits of our labour, it’s time to start planning!

So, let’s begin. Top ways to make your garden nice…

  • Plan

Grab a pen and a notepad and perch at your window looking at your garden. Write down what it is you want to achieve before summer. Is it new furniture? Flowers? Or a huge landscaping project?

Once you have a good understanding of what it is you want to achieve, the rest will fall into place.

  • Fences

As we always say, you will be surprised what a bit of paint can do. For the garden, fences are a huge aspect and focal point. It’s becoming increasingly more popular to paint fences white, black or even bright coloured. Anything is better than battered old fence panels, aren’t they?

  • Weed out the weeds

It may seem an obvious one, but removing all the weeds can completely transform your patio area. That, along with a jet wash, will have your dining area looking like new.

  • Barrell planter

Barrell planters are a very inexpensive way to turn your garden into a flower paradise. You can find good quality ones at any gardening store or online. Place them around steps and dining areas.

  • Accessorise

Adding outdoor mirrors and clocks can make your garden look complete and stylish. Fix them onto your freshly painted fence or brick wall and watch your guests eye with garden envy.

  • Furniture

Investing in good quality garden furniture should be on everyone’s priority list this summer. Bag yourself huge savings by shopping around. Egg chairs were the highlight of last summer and were soon sold out everywhere. Start looking now before it’s too late!
