Wavensmere Homes Appoints Head of Customer Service

Wavensmere Homes Belgrave Village. Gary Moore, Head of Customer Care.

Wavensmere Homes has appointed an industry veteran to the newly created position of Head of Customer Service. The housebuilder will hand over the keys to over 500 new homes this year, at major residential-led developments located in Birmingham, Derby, and Shotley in Suffolk.

Gary Moore joins the Birmingham-headquartered regeneration specialist from Countryside Partnerships, where he held the role of Customer Service Support Manager. Prior to that, he was a Customer Service Manager for Kier Living, and Customer Care Operations Manager for Persimmon Homes plc. Mr Moore brings over 20 years’ of experience to the role.

James Dickens, Managing Director of Wavensmere Homes, said: “We are immensely proud of our track record for customer care, which stems from the harmonised approach taken by our site teams and customer service department. Our well-specified houses and apartments are handed over to an exceptional standard, which helps to minimise the need for disruptive snagging and after care.

“Gary’s appointment as Head of Customer Service is a reflection of the record number of homes we are completing this year and the further 3,500 homes we have either under construction or in planning. As we grow, we must be proactive to maintain the standards we have built Wavensmere Homes’ reputation on. We are very pleased to welcome someone with Gary’s experience to this newly created position.”

Wavensmere Homes is currently developing the final phases of the £175m Nightingale Quarter, located off London Road within Derby city centre. The £105m Belgrave Village development is delivering 438 energy-efficient houses and apartments in central Birmingham – on a brownfield site that was vacant for 20 years. Located on the Shotley Peninsula, close to Ipswich, the £130m Barrelman’s Point scheme is reanimating the former HMS Ganges naval base, delivering 285 premium houses in the process. Wavensmere Homes’ additional major urban regeneration schemes are located across central England.

Gary Moore, Head of Customer Service for Wavensmere Homes, said: “I am thrilled to take up this national role with Wavensmere Homes. It will be a pleasure to work with the customer service team, the construction department, and site-based teams to ensure we become even more customer centric as the company expands. I am particularly looking forward to supporting our customers’ journeys and the entire process of making our new houses and apartments into homes.”
