Wavensmere Homes has been shortlisted for two categories at Midlands Residential Property Awards 2022!
We are delighted to announce we have been shortlisted in two categories at the Midlands Residential Property Awards 2022.
Categories include Place-making Project of Year for our landmark Derby city-centre development, Nightingale Quarter, and Urban and City Developer of the Year.
Last year, Wavensmere Homes won Urban and City Developer of the year at Insider Media Residential Property Awards 2021, so we are delighted to be shortlisted for this category for a second year running.
James Dickens, Managing Director of Wavensmere Homes, says, “We are thrilled to be recognised in two fantastic categories at this year’s Insider awards. Nightingale Quarter has seen unprecedented sales success since its launch back in 2019 and the work on site has seen significant progress over the last 12 months. We would like to thank the board of judges who shortlisted this landmark development and wish all other entries the best of luck.”
Insider deputy editor Ian Griffin said the record participation highlighted the robustness of the sector in the region at a time of economic uncertainty.
“The Midlands has a huge shortage of housing, and these entries show that the property sector is working in a determined and innovative way to serve the market need,” he said.
“Our shortlist contains some fantastic examples of schemes which have overcome major challenges, provided great design and created successful public-private partnerships on their way to fruition.”
Griffin added: “The awards are a great opportunity to celebrate the crucial role the residential property sector is playing in attracting major global investment, world-renowned businesses and skilled staff.”
Nightingale Quarter is one of the UK’s largest city-centre regeneration developments offering over 800 new homes to the region in a mix of houses and apartments.
The site will also see the restoration of two Grade II listed buildings known as “the pepperpots”. Pepper South has been transformed into a Marketing Suite for the site which will eventually be handed back to the residents as a fully equipped gym. Pepper Pot North is currently going through the restoration process and will be a stunning cafe for the community to enjoy.
